Plucked from his role as a Jesuit high school teacher, Paolo Venticinque is abruptly dispatched by the Vatican to a psychiatric hospital in Jerusalem. His mission: to interview patients who believe themselves to be reincarnations of Jesus Christ and discover the mastermind behind the viral Twitter account spreading an inclusive gospel. Unbeknownst to Paolo, the account is seen as a growing threat by deeply conservative factions within the Vatican, who are determined to silence it while conspiring against a beloved and progressive pope.
